| Currator's Corner |
Welcome to Envisiongalleries.com. I thought I’d take the time to introduce myself to you all so you know who is behind this portion of this online gallery.
I am Ann and I am the creator and curator of envision. My husband is the web programmer so this has really been a family affair. I want to thank him for the hard work in making this vision a reality. It has been a birthing process of sort and I’m so excited!
Envisiongalleries.com steps out in an exciting moment in my own career as an artist. For the past several years I have managed a website for my father, a Nebraska sculptor and painter. He doesn’t know much about the computer and just figured I’d be a better person to run it and promote him in that way.
This started to give me a heart for those not represented on the web as of yet and also gave me the idea for envisiongalleries. As I mentioned, I’m in an exciting part of my career as I am just really beginning to own the fact that I was created to create as an act of worship. I hope that envisiongalleries will help others to discover their call and encourage them to follow their dreams just as I have been encouraged to do so by my father.
Envisiongalleries is for those who do not know much about web programming and want to make their art available via the internet for others to view and possibly purchase. I want this site to help artists connect not only with other artists but also patrons. This site is for the experience artist who has never had a site before and also for the up and coming artist especially the high school or college one who wants to post their work but can’t afford many of the other sites out there.
Envisiongalleries is a free service at this time and due to some discussions with others, will continue to be this way indefinitely.
Imagine, Dream, Create, Display are the core ideas behind envisionsgalleries. When you choose to join envisiongalleries you are working with me personally. I hope this can help jumpstart your career or enhance your career in the arts. Again Welcome to envisiongalleries, share it with your friends and keep looking back to the curator’s corner for more thoughts.
